Read the event before reading the countdown.
“Reset” can mean a regular account refresh, a one-time gift, an announcement about a future change, or a reminder about something already available. A timer becomes useful only after you know which of those it represents.
| Label | What it means here | What to check |
|---|---|---|
| Session limit (Claude) | The included-usage window that Anthropic documents as resetting every five hours on Pro and Max. | Session reset time in your Claude Usage settings. |
| Weekly limit | A separate allowance with its own weekly reset day and time. | Weekly reset time in your Usage settings; for Codex, which windows apply depends on your plan. |
| Personal reset | The future time you entered from your own account. | Your Usage screen and time zone. |
| Reported reset | A community feed classifies a provider post as a reset. | Original post, eligible plans and your account. |
| Reset announcement | A post refers to a reset that was still ahead when written. | Whether execution has since been confirmed. |
| Saved reset offer | A reset is offered for eligible users to apply themselves. | Coverage, eligibility and expiry. |
| Expiry reminder | An earlier offer is approaching its end. | Whether you still have an unused offer. |
| Allowance update | A provider announces a change to available usage. | Effective date, plan and affected limit. |
| Provider update | A general source report outside the more specific labels. | The source post and its scope. |
Public does not mean personal.
OpenAI distinguishes automatic or “global” resets from saved and purchased resets. Check which accounts and allowances a specific offer names. A public announcement is useful context; it is not evidence of the exact balance in your account. The personal clocks on this site stay under your control.
Use the daily plan as a rough allocation.
The calculation is simple: the percentage you enter, divided by the remaining days. With 60% remaining and six days to go, that is 10 percentage points per day. During the final 24 hours, the entire remaining percentage is shown as available until the reset time.
Actual tasks consume different amounts. The planner makes no assumption about model efficiency, message counts or the size of a project. If you use a large share today, enter the new balance and let the plan adjust.
What the calendar reminder does.
The calendar export creates one event per future reset time you entered, with a reminder requested 15 minutes before it. It does not create a recurring weekly schedule or synchronize with your account. Your calendar app controls notification delivery. If the provider changes your reset time, export the updated file using the same event identifier, then check the imported result in your calendar. If a browser cannot save the calendar file, use “Copy details” to add the reminder yourself.
Service status is not your allowance.
The official service-status check shows an aggregate provider status. It does not report an individual account’s remaining allowance and does not establish that a compensating reset has happened. A failed fetch is shown as unavailable, never as proof that everything is operational.
